Hello and welcome to the second edition of Ted's News!
Firstly, let me thank everybody who took the time to read our first issue and especially those of you who took a moment to give us feedback…and even more importantly, got involved. Without your support and interest, we cannot begin to do the work we do and every connection we make is very much appreciated.
In this issue you can find out much more about the wonderful work of our new partners – Cruse Bereavement Support and Dementia UK. Ian Lovett, our Chair, shares memories of the last 40 years and you’ll also see the real difference your donations are making under the Grants section.
Most importantly, we'll share news of our heroes and the many ways they are getting involved in supporting vulnerable people here in the UK and internationally.
Looking forward to next year, we are actively designing the calendar of events for 2022 and will launch this with you early in the New Year. Whether it’s as simple as regular giving or as challenging as your first marathon, there will be something you can do.
I'd like to close in thanking the directors of Openwork Holdings Limited for agreeing to increase the uplift rate from 50% to 75% for all income received in 2021....this will make such a difference.
Sam Tesch, Head of The Openwork Foundation
