Hello!
Welcome to the first issue of our newsletter – Ted’s News and a chance to catch up on everything we’re doing, to see the impact of your donations and, of course, how you can get involved. It’s an important moment to launch Ted’s News. Ted is the Foundation mascot and 2021 marks 40 years of our Foundation and here you'll find details of our key achievements and milestones over of the years, as well as news on forthcoming events.
Every issue will celebrate our Foundation Heroes – the people who’ve gone that extra mile to make a difference. We’ll help you get to know the charities we have supported and the importance of their work in the community. Most importantly we’ll make sure you know where every grant is going and the plans for its use. I’m also delighted to see the Foundation has Ambassadors across all businesses within The Openwork Partnership – you really do show how WE CARE.
Thank you all for your support. Now more than ever, there are more vulnerable people of every age who need our support and together, we can make a real difference. As this is our very first issue we welcome your feedback and ideas for how we can improve. Just email me to let us know what you think! In our next edition we'll share more about Ted's journey with the Foundation and showcase Cruse Bereavement Care and Dementia UK, our two new national charity partners.
Sam Tesch, Head of The Openwork Foundation
