Initiatives to celebrate our 40 years

This year we are asking you all to take on a fundraising challenge to help us celebrate our big birthday and join our national relay across the UK and The Openwork Partnership.

You could walk, trek, cycle, host a virtual coffee morning, give up a treat for a week and donate the cost, run a virtual 10k or marathon(!), do a virtual team relay…. Or take part in one of the Foundation’s organised events. The ideas and opportunities are endless!

South Downs at Night trek – 26/27 June

You can still join our wonderful team of trekkers with their friends and family on an event that will truly be a celebration of coming together and to support one another. The team will trek 26 miles throughout the night to make a difference to others. The target is £220 per person and you can simply click here to join the team.

4 x 4 x 48 hours

Brian, partner in The Openwork Partnership, is challenging himself throughout the year raising funds for the Foundation. He completed his first event to run 4 miles, every 4 hours over 48 hours. He is also taking part in the South Downs Trek and two Ironman triathlons in July & September.

Polar Bear Sea Challenge

Dave, partner in The Openwork Partnership, lives in the North East and has set himself a Polar Bear Sea Challenge. He is currently braving the cold sea in just his swimmers and goggles (no wet suit!) to complete a series of open sea water swims at 9 degrees or less to reach 10,000 metres and is aiming to raise £5,000.
